Mark Steyn

EZRA LEVANT is a journalist with Sun Media, where his columns appear in over 30 newspapers each week, and he appears regularly as a pundit on TV and radio. In 2004, he was the founding publisher of the Western Standard magazine that later republished the Danish cartoons of Mohammed. For this, Levant and the magazine were prosecuted by the Government of Alberta's human rights commission for 900 days, for "hate speech", before the charges were dropped. Levant's campaign to reform these illiberal commissions has included testimony before Canada's Parliament, the U.S. Congress and was documented in his best-selling 2009 book, Shakedown. Levant's latest book, "Ethical Oil: the case for Canada's oilsands" was released in September.
